Juízes 12
1 Então, foram convocados os homens de Efraim, e passaram para Zafom, e disseram a Jefté: Por que foste combater contra os filhos de Amom e não nos chamaste para ir contigo? Queimaremos a tua casa, estando tu dentro dela.
2 E Jefté lhes disse: Eu e o meu povo tivemos grande contenda com os filhos de Amom; chamei-vos, e não me livrastes das suas mãos.
3 Vendo eu que não me livráveis, arrisquei a minha vida e passei contra os filhos de Amom, e o SENHOR os entregou nas minhas mãos; por que, pois, subistes, hoje, contra mim, para me combaterdes?
4 Ajuntou Jefté todos os homens de Gileade e pelejou contra Efraim; e os homens de Gileade feriram Efraim, porque este dissera: Fugitivos sois de Efraim, vós, gileaditas, que morais no meio de Efraim e Manassés.
5 Porém os gileaditas tomaram os vaus do Jordão que conduzem a Efraim; de sorte que, quando qualquer fugitivo de Efraim dizia: Quero passar; então, os homens de Gileade lhe perguntavam: És tu efraimita? Se respondia: Não;
6 então, lhe tornavam: Dize, pois, chibolete; quando dizia sibolete, não podendo exprimir bem a palavra, então, pegavam dele e o matavam nos vaus do Jordão. E caíram de Efraim, naquele tempo, quarenta e dois mil.
7 Jefté, o gileadita, julgou a Israel seis anos; e morreu e foi sepultado numa das cidades de Gileade.
8 Depois dele, julgou a Israel Ibsã, de Belém.
9 Tinha este trinta filhos e trinta filhas; a estas, casou fora; e, de fora, trouxe trinta mulheres para seus filhos. Julgou a Israel sete anos.
10 Então, faleceu Ibsã e foi sepultado em Belém.
11 Depois dele, veio Elom, o zebulonita, que julgou a Israel dez anos.
12 Faleceu Elom, o zebulonita, e foi sepultado em Aijalom, na terra de Zebulom.
13 Depois dele, julgou a Israel Abdom, filho de Hilel, o piratonita.
14 Tinha este quarenta filhos e trinta netos, que cavalgavam setenta jumentos. Julgou a Israel oito anos.
15 Então, faleceu Abdom, filho de Hilel, o piratonita; e foi sepultado em Piratom, na terra de Efraim, na região montanhosa dos amalequitas.
12 And the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passedst thou over to fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? we will burn thine house upon thee with fire. 2 And Jephthah said unto them, I and my people were at great strife with the children of Ammon; and when I called you, ye delivered me not out of their hands. 3 And when I saw that ye delivered me not, I put my life in my hands, and passed over against the children of Ammon, and the Lord delivered them into my hand: wherefore then are ye come up unto me this day, to fight against me? 4 Then Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim: and the men of Gilead smote Ephraim, because they said, Ye Gileadites are fugitives of Ephraim among the Ephraimites, and among the Manassites. 5 And the Gileadites took the passages of Jordan before the Ephraimites: and it was so, that when those Ephraimites which were escaped said, Let me go over; that the men of Gilead said unto him, Art thou an Ephraimite? If he said, Nay; 6 Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand. 7 And Jephthah judged Israel six years. Then died Jephthah the Gileadite, and was buried in one of the cities of Gilead. 8 And after him Ibzan of Bethlehem judged Israel. 9 And he had thirty sons, and thirty daughters, whom he sent abroad, and took in thirty daughters from abroad for his sons. And he judged Israel seven years. 10 Then died Ibzan, and was buried at Bethlehem. 11 And after him Elon, a Zebulonite, judged Israel; and he judged Israel ten years. 12 And Elon the Zebulonite died, and was buried in Aijalon in the country of Zebulun. 13 And after him Abdon the son of Hillel, a Pirathonite, judged Israel. 14 And he had forty sons and thirty nephews, that rode on threescore and ten ass colts: and he judged Israel eight years. 15 And Abdon the son of Hillel the Pirathonite died, and was buried in Pirathon in the land of Ephraim, in the mount of the Amalekites.

Atos 16
1 Chegou também a Derbe e a Listra. Havia ali um discípulo chamado Timóteo, filho de uma judia crente, mas de pai grego;
2 dele davam bom testemunho os irmãos em Listra e Icônio.
3 Quis Paulo que ele fosse em sua companhia e, por isso, circuncidou-o por causa dos judeus daqueles lugares; pois todos sabiam que seu pai era grego.
4 Ao passar pelas cidades, entregavam aos irmãos, para que as observassem, as decisões tomadas pelos apóstolos e presbíteros de Jerusalém.
5 Assim, as igrejas eram fortalecidas na fé e, dia a dia, aumentavam em número.
6 E, percorrendo a região frígio-gálata, tendo sido impedidos pelo Espírito Santo de pregar a palavra na Ásia,
7 defrontando Mísia, tentavam ir para Bitínia, mas o Espírito de Jesus não o permitiu.
8 E, tendo contornado Mísia, desceram a Trôade.
9 À noite, sobreveio a Paulo uma visão na qual um varão macedônio estava em pé e lhe rogava, dizendo: Passa à Macedônia e ajuda-nos.
10 Assim que teve a visão, imediatamente, procuramos partir para aquele destino, concluindo que Deus nos havia chamado para lhes anunciar o evangelho.
11 Tendo, pois, navegado de Trôade, seguimos em direitura a Samotrácia, no dia seguinte, a Neápolis
12 e dali, a Filipos, cidade da Macedônia, primeira do distrito e colônia. Nesta cidade, permanecemos alguns dias.
13 No sábado, saímos da cidade para junto do rio, onde nos pareceu haver um lugar de oração; e, assentando-nos, falamos às mulheres que para ali tinham concorrido.
14 Certa mulher, chamada Lídia, da cidade de Tiatira, vendedora de púrpura, temente a Deus, nos escutava; o Senhor lhe abriu o coração para atender às coisas que Paulo dizia.
15 Depois de ser batizada, ela e toda a sua casa, nos rogou, dizendo: Se julgais que eu sou fiel ao Senhor, entrai em minha casa e aí ficai. E nos constrangeu a isso.
16 Aconteceu que, indo nós para o lugar de oração, nos saiu ao encontro uma jovem possessa de espírito adivinhador, a qual, adivinhando, dava grande lucro aos seus senhores.
17 Seguindo a Paulo e a nós, clamava, dizendo: Estes homens são servos do Deus Altíssimo e vos anunciam o caminho da salvação.
18 Isto se repetia por muitos dias. Então, Paulo, já indignado, voltando-se, disse ao espírito: Em nome de Jesus Cristo, eu te mando: retira-te dela. E ele, na mesma hora, saiu.
19 Vendo os seus senhores que se lhes desfizera a esperança do lucro, agarrando em Paulo e Silas, os arrastaram para a praça, à presença das autoridades;
20 e, levando-os aos pretores, disseram: Estes homens, sendo judeus, perturbam a nossa cidade,
21 propagando costumes que não podemos receber, nem praticar, porque somos romanos.
22 Levantou-se a multidão, unida contra eles, e os pretores, rasgando-lhes as vestes, mandaram açoitá-los com varas.
23 E, depois de lhes darem muitos açoites, os lançaram no cárcere, ordenando ao carcereiro que os guardasse com toda a segurança.
24 Este, recebendo tal ordem, levou-os para o cárcere interior e lhes prendeu os pés no tronco.
25 Por volta da meia-noite, Paulo e Silas oravam e cantavam louvores a Deus, e os demais companheiros de prisão escutavam.
26 De repente, sobreveio tamanho terremoto, que sacudiu os alicerces da prisão; abriram-se todas as portas, e soltaram-se as cadeias de todos.
27 O carcereiro despertou do sono e, vendo abertas as portas do cárcere, puxando da espada, ia suicidar-se, supondo que os presos tivessem fugido.
28 Mas Paulo bradou em alta voz: Não te faças nenhum mal, que todos aqui estamos!
29 Então, o carcereiro, tendo pedido uma luz, entrou precipitadamente e, trêmulo, prostrou-se diante de Paulo e Silas.
30 Depois, trazendo-os para fora, disse: Senhores, que devo fazer para que seja salvo?
31 Responderam-lhe: Crê no Senhor Jesus e serás salvo, tu e tua casa.
32 E lhe pregaram a palavra de Deus e a todos os de sua casa.
33 Naquela mesma hora da noite, cuidando deles, lavou-lhes os vergões dos açoites. A seguir, foi ele batizado, e todos os seus.
34 Então, levando-os para a sua própria casa, lhes pôs a mesa; e, com todos os seus, manifestava grande alegria, por terem crido em Deus.
35 Quando amanheceu, os pretores enviaram oficiais de justiça, com a seguinte ordem: Põe aqueles homens em liberdade.
36 Então, o carcereiro comunicou a Paulo estas palavras: Os pretores ordenaram que fôsseis postos em liberdade. Agora, pois, saí e ide em paz.
37 Paulo, porém, lhes replicou: Sem ter havido processo formal contra nós, nos açoitaram publicamente e nos recolheram ao cárcere, sendo nós cidadãos romanos; querem agora, às ocultas, lançar-nos fora? Não será assim; pelo contrário, venham eles e, pessoalmente, nos ponham em liberdade.
38 Os oficiais de justiça comunicaram isso aos pretores; e estes ficaram possuídos de temor, quando souberam que se tratava de cidadãos romanos.
39 Então, foram ter com eles e lhes pediram desculpas; e, relaxando-lhes a prisão, rogaram que se retirassem da cidade.
40 Tendo-se retirado do cárcere, dirigiram-se para a casa de Lídia e, vendo os irmãos, os confortaram. Então, partiram.
16 Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:
2 Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium. 3 Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek. 4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem. 5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily. 6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, 7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not. 8 And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas. 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. 10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them. 11 Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis; 12 And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days. 13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither. 14 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul. 15 And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us. 16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: 17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. 18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. 19 And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers, 20 And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city, 21 And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans. 22 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them. 23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely: 24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. 25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. 27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. 28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. 29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, 30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. 34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house. 35 And when it was day, the magistrates sent the serjeants, saying, Let those men go. 36 And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace. 37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out. 38 And the serjeants told these words unto the magistrates: and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans. 39 And they came and besought them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the city.
40 And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.

Jeremias 25
1 Palavra que veio a Jeremias acerca de todo o povo de Judá, no ano quarto de Jeoaquim, filho de Josias, rei de Judá, ano que era o primeiro de Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia,
2 a qual anunciou Jeremias, o profeta, a todo o povo de Judá e a todos os habitantes de Jerusalém, dizendo:
3 Durante vinte e três anos, desde o décimo terceiro de Josias, filho de Amom, rei de Judá, até hoje, tem vindo a mim a palavra do SENHOR, e, começando de madrugada, eu vo-la tenho anunciado; mas vós não escutastes.
4 Também, começando de madrugada, vos enviou o SENHOR todos os seus servos, os profetas, mas vós não os escutastes, nem inclinastes os ouvidos para ouvir,
5 quando diziam: Convertei-vos agora, cada um do seu mau caminho e da maldade das suas ações, e habitai na terra que o SENHOR vos deu e a vossos pais, desde os tempos antigos e para sempre.
6 Não andeis após outros deuses para os servirdes e para os adorardes, nem me provoqueis à ira com as obras de vossas mãos; não vos farei mal algum.
7 Todavia, não me destes ouvidos, diz o SENHOR, mas me provocastes à ira com as obras de vossas mãos, para o vosso próprio mal.
8 Portanto, assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Visto que não escutastes as minhas palavras,
9 eis que mandarei buscar todas as tribos do Norte, diz o SENHOR, como também a Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, meu servo, e os trarei contra esta terra, contra os seus moradores e contra todas estas nações em redor, e os destruirei totalmente, e os porei por objeto de espanto, e de assobio, e de ruínas perpétuas.
10 Farei cessar entre eles a voz de folguedo e a de alegria, e a voz do noivo, e a da noiva, e o som das mós, e a luz do candeeiro.
11 Toda esta terra virá a ser um deserto e um espanto; estas nações servirão ao rei da Babilônia setenta anos.
12 Acontecerá, porém, que, quando se cumprirem os setenta anos, castigarei a iniqüidade do rei da Babilônia e a desta nação, diz o SENHOR, como também a da terra dos caldeus; farei deles ruínas perpétuas.
13 Farei que se cumpram sobre aquela terra todas as minhas ameaças que proferi contra ela, tudo quanto está escrito neste livro, que profetizou Jeremias contra todas as nações.
14 Porque também eles serão escravos de muitas nações e de grandes reis; assim, lhes retribuirei segundo os seus feitos e segundo as obras das suas mãos.
15 Porque assim me disse o SENHOR, o Deus de Israel: Toma da minha mão este cálice do vinho do meu furor e darás a beber dele a todas as nações às quais eu te enviar.
16 Para que bebam, e tremam, e enlouqueçam, por causa da espada que eu enviarei para o meio delas.
17 Recebi o cálice da mão do SENHOR e dei a beber a todas as nações às quais o SENHOR me tinha enviado:
18 a Jerusalém, às cidades de Judá, aos seus reis e aos seus príncipes, para fazer deles uma ruína, objeto de espanto, de assobio e maldição, como hoje se vê;
19 a Faraó, rei do Egito, a seus servos, a seus príncipes e a todo o seu povo;
20 a todo misto de gente, a todos os reis da terra de Uz, a todos os reis da terra dos filisteus, a Asquelom, a Gaza, a Ecrom e ao resto de Asdode;
21 a Edom, a Moabe e aos filhos de Amom;
22 a todos os reis de Tiro, a todos os reis de Sidom e aos reis das terras dalém do mar;
23 a Dedã, a Tema, a Buz e a todos os que cortam os cabelos nas têmporas;
24 a todos os reis da Arábia e todos os reis do misto de gente que habita no deserto;
25 a todos os reis de Zinri, a todos os reis de Elão e a todos os reis da Média;
26 a todos os reis do Norte, os de perto e os de longe, um após outro, e a todos os reinos do mundo sobre a face da terra; e, depois de todos eles, ao rei da Babilônia.
27 Pois lhes dirás: Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Bebei, embebedai-vos e vomitai; caí e não torneis a levantar-vos, por causa da espada que estou enviando para o vosso meio.
28 Se recusarem receber o cálice da tua mão para beber, então, lhes dirás: Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Tereis de bebê-lo.
29 Pois eis que na cidade que se chama pelo meu nome começo a castigar; e ficareis vós de todo impunes? Não, não ficareis impunes, porque eu chamo a espada sobre todos os moradores da terra, diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos.
30 Tu, pois, lhes profetizarás todas estas palavras e lhes dirás: O SENHOR lá do alto rugirá e da sua santa morada fará ouvir a sua voz; rugirá fortemente contra a sua malhada, com brados contra todos os moradores da terra, como o eia! dos que pisam as uvas.
31 Chegará o estrondo até à extremidade da terra, porque o SENHOR tem contenda com as nações, entrará em juízo contra toda carne; os perversos entregará à espada, diz o SENHOR.
32 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Eis que o mal passa de nação para nação, e grande tormenta se levanta dos confins da terra.
33 Os que o SENHOR entregar à morte naquele dia se estenderão de uma a outra extremidade da terra; não serão pranteados, nem recolhidos, nem sepultados; serão como esterco sobre a face da terra.
34 Uivai, pastores, e clamai; revolvei-vos na cinza, vós, donos dos rebanhos, porque já se cumpriram os vossos dias de matardes e dispersardes, e vós mesmos caireis como jarros preciosos.
35 Não haverá refúgio para os pastores, nem salvamento para os donos dos rebanhos.
36 Eis o grito dos pastores, o uivo dos donos dos rebanhos! Porque o SENHOR está destruindo o pasto deles.
37 Porque as suas malhadas pacíficas serão devastadas, por causa do brasume da ira do SENHOR.
38 Saiu da sua morada como o filho de leão; porque a terra deles foi posta em ruínas, por causa do furor da espada e por causa do brasume da ira do SENHOR.
25 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; 2 The which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, 3 From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of the Lord hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened. 4 And the Lord hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear. 5 They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the Lord hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever: 6 And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt. 7 Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the Lord; that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt. 8 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Because ye have not heard my words, 9 Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the Lord, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations. 10 Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle. 11 And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. 12 And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the Lord, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations. 13 And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations. 14 For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands. 15 For thus saith the Lord God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it. 16 And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them. 17 Then took I the cup at the Lord's hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the Lord had sent me: 18 To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day; 19 Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people; 20 And all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod, 21 Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon, 22 And all the kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the sea, 23 Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that are in the utmost corners, 24 And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the desert, 25 And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes, 26 And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them. 27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you. 28 And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink. 29 For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of hosts. 30 Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The Lord shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth. 31 A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the Lord hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the Lord. 32 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. 33 And the slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground. 34 Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel. 35 And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape. 36 A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and an howling of the principal of the flock, shall be heard: for the Lord hath spoiled their pasture. 37 And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of the fierce anger of the Lord. 38 He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for their land is desolate because of the fierceness of the oppressor, and because of his fierce anger.

O remorso é o quê?Um dos sentimentos nocivos, que escravizam até à morte.
Por exemplo, a humanidade sabe o que é escravidão. E nos dias em que estamos, pessoas escravizam pessoas como nunca antes, usando-lhes os pensamentos.
Assim podemos entender o remorso também, como um senhor de escravos. O qual usa de seus escravos, os pensamentos. Por isso, se, não existir dentro de cada pessoa, o temor ao SENHOR,o remorso sempre irá ocupar o lugar do verdadeiro arrependimento.
E sem o verdadeiro arrependimento, não há como pertencer ao Reino do Senhor Deus por intermédio, tão somente, de Seu Amado Filho Senhor Jesus.
Não havendo o verdadeiro arrependimento, não há salvação.
Pois o verdadeiro arrependimento não é um sentimento ou um ato de contrição.
E se alguémpermitir -se, alimentar-se deste mundo e viver conforme os interesses do próprio mundo em que encontra-se, então,os seus interesses serão iguais aos do mundo, iguais ao do senhor de escravos.
A verdadeira Igreja do Senhor Jesus, não é aquela que as estatísticas mostram ou deixam de mostrar, como sendo a maior ou a melhor, ou, a menor e a pior. Não é aquela que está com suas portas abertas em todas as nações, sejam nas cidades ou nos lugares mais remotos. Não é aquela que tem a caridade como seu prato principal, aos pobres da Terra.
