E contenderam fortemente com ele. 2 Porém ele lhes disse: Que mais fiz eu, agora, do que vós? Não são, porventura, os rabiscos de Efraim melhores do que a vindima de Abiezer? 3 Deus entregou nas vossas mãos os príncipes dos midianitas, Orebe e Zeebe; que pude eu fazer comparável com o que fizestes? Então, com falar-lhes esta palavra, abrandou-se-lhes a ira para com ele. 4 Vindo Gideão ao Jordão, passou com os trezentos homens que com ele estavam, cansados mas ainda perseguindo. 5 E disse aos homens de Sucote: Dai, peço-vos, alguns pães para estes que me seguem, pois estão cansados, e eu vou ao encalço de Zeba e Salmuna, reis dos midianitas. 6 Porém os príncipes de Sucote disseram: Porventura, tens já sob teu poder o punho de Zeba e de Salmuna, para que demos pão ao teu exército? 7 Então, disse Gideão: Por isso, quando o SENHOR entregar nas minhas mãos Zeba e Salmuna, trilharei a vossa carne com os espinhos do deserto e com os abrolhos. 8 Dali subiu a Penuel e de igual modo falou a seus homens; estes de Penuel lhe responderam como os homens de Sucote lhe haviam respondido. 9 Pelo que também falou aos homens de Penuel, dizendo: Quando eu voltar em paz, derribarei esta torre. 10 Estavam, pois, Zeba e Salmuna em Carcor, e os seus exércitos, com eles, uns quinze mil homens, todos os que restaram do exército de povos do Oriente; e os que caíram foram cento e vinte mil homens que puxavam da espada. 11 Subiu Gideão pelo caminho dos nômades, ao oriente de Noba e Jogbeá, e feriu aquele exército, que se achava descuidado. 12 Fugiram Zeba e Salmuna; porém ele os perseguiu, e prendeu os dois reis dos midianitas, Zeba e Salmuna, e desbaratou todo o exército. 13 Voltando, pois, Gideão, filho de Joás, da peleja, pela subida de Heres, 14 deteve a um moço de Sucote e lhe fez perguntas; o moço deu por escrito o nome dos príncipes e anciãos de Sucote, setenta e sete homens. 15 Então, veio Gideão aos homens de Sucote e disse: Vedes aqui Zeba e Salmuna, a respeito dos quais motejastes de mim, dizendo: Porventura, tens tu já sob teu poder o punho de Zeba e Salmuna para que demos pão aos teus homens cansados? 16 E tomou os anciãos da cidade, e espinhos do deserto, e abrolhos e, com eles, deu severa lição aos homens de Sucote. 17 Derribou a torre de Penuel e matou os homens da cidade. 18 Depois disse a Zeba e a Salmuna: Que homens eram os que matastes em Tabor? Responderam: Como tu és, assim eram eles; cada um se assemelhava a filho de rei. 19 Então, disse ele: Eram meus irmãos, filhos de minha mãe. Tão certo como vive o SENHOR, se os tivésseis deixado com vida, eu não vos mataria a vós outros. 20 E disse a Jéter, seu primogênito: Dispõe-te e mata-os. Porém o moço não arrancou da sua espada, porque temia, porquanto ainda era jovem. 21 Então, disseram Zeba e Salmuna: Levanta-te e arremete contra nós, porque qual o homem, tal a sua valentia. Dispôs-se, pois, Gideão, e matou a Zeba e a Salmuna, e tomou os ornamentos em forma de meia-lua que estavam no pescoço dos seus camelos. 22 Então, os homens de Israel disseram a Gideão: Domina sobre nós, tanto tu como teu filho e o filho de teu filho, porque nos livraste do poder dos midianitas. 23 Porém Gideão lhes disse: Não dominarei sobre vós, nem tampouco meu filho dominará sobre vós; o SENHOR vos dominará. 24 Disse-lhes mais Gideão: Um pedido vos farei: dai-me vós, cada um as argolas do seu despojo (porque tinham argolas de ouro, pois eram ismaelitas). 25 Disseram eles: De bom grado as daremos. E estenderam uma capa, e cada um deles deitou ali uma argola do seu despojo. 26 O peso das argolas de ouro que pediu foram mil e setecentos siclos de ouro (afora os ornamentos em forma de meia-lua, as arrecadas e as vestes de púrpura que traziam os reis dos midianitas, e afora os ornamentos que os camelos traziam ao pescoço). 27 Desse peso fez Gideão uma estola sacerdotal e a pôs na sua cidade, em Ofra; e todo o Israel se prostituiu ali após ela; a estola veio a ser um laço a Gideão e à sua casa. 28 Assim, foram abatidos os midianitas diante dos filhos de Israel e nunca mais levantaram a cabeça; e ficou a terra em paz durante quarenta anos nos dias de Gideão. 29 Retirou-se Jerubaal, filho de Joás, e habitou em sua casa. 30 Teve Gideão setenta filhos, todos provindos dele, porque tinha muitas mulheres. 31 A sua concubina, que estava em Siquém, lhe deu também à luz um filho; e ele lhe pôs por nome Abimeleque. 32 Faleceu Gideão, filho de Joás, em boa velhice; e foi sepultado no sepulcro de Joás, seu pai, em Ofra dos abiezritas. 33 Morto Gideão, tornaram a prostituir-se os filhos de Israel após os baalins e puseram Baal-Berite por deus. 34 Os filhos de Israel não se lembraram do SENHOR, seu Deus, que os livrara do poder de todos os seus inimigos ao redor; 35 nem usaram de benevolência com a casa de Jerubaal, a saber, Gideão, segundo todo o bem que ele fizera a Israel. https://www.biblegateway.com/ audio/dramatized/kjv/Judg.8 ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  8 And the men of Ephraim said unto him, Why hast thou served us thus, that thou calledst us not, when thou wentest to fight with the Midianites? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer? 3 God hath delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb: and what was I able to do in comparison of you? Then their anger was abated toward him, when he had said that. 4 And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them. 5 And he said unto the men of Succoth, Give, I pray you, loaves of bread unto the people that follow me; for they be faint, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian. 6 And the princes of Succoth said, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thine army? 7 And Gideon said, Therefore when the Lord hath delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into mine hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers. 8 And he went up thence to Penuel, and spake unto them likewise: and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered him. 9 And he spake also unto the men of Penuel, saying, When I come again in peace, I will break down this tower. 10 Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor, and their hosts with them, about fifteen thousand men, all that were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell an hundred and twenty thousand men that drew sword. 11 And Gideon went up by the way of them that dwelt in tents on the east of Nobah and Jogbehah, and smote the host; for the host was secure. 12 And when Zebah and Zalmunna fled, he pursued after them, and took the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and discomfited all the host. 13 And Gideon the son of Joash returned from battle before the sun was up, 14 And caught a young man of the men of Succoth, and enquired of him: and he described unto him the princes of Succoth, and the elders thereof, even threescore and seventeen men. 15 And he came unto the men of Succoth, and said, Behold Zebah and Zalmunna, with whom ye did upbraid me, saying, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thy men that are weary? 16 And he took the elders of the city, and thorns of the wilderness and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth. 17 And he beat down the tower of Penuel, and slew the men of the city. 18 Then said he unto Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of men were they whom ye slew at Tabor? And they answered, As thou art, so were they; each one resembled the children of a king. 19 And he said, They were my brethren, even the sons of my mother: as the Lord liveth, if ye had saved them alive, I would not slay you. 20 And he said unto Jether his firstborn, Up, and slay them. But the youth drew not his sword: for he feared, because he was yet a youth. 21 Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us: for as the man is, so is his strength. And Gideon arose, and slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took away the ornaments that were on their camels' necks. 22 Then the men of Israel said unto Gideon, Rule thou over us, both thou, and thy son, and thy son's son also: for thou hast delivered us from the hand of Midian. 23 And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the Lord shall rule over you. 24 And Gideon said unto them, I would desire a request of you, that ye would give me every man the earrings of his prey. (For they had golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.) 25 And they answered, We will willingly give them. And they spread a garment, and did cast therein every man the earrings of his prey. 26 And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; beside ornaments, and collars, and purple raiment that was on the kings of Midian, and beside the chains that were about their camels' necks. 27 And Gideon made an ephod thereof, and put it in his city, even in Ophrah: and all Israel went thither a whoring after it: which thing became a snare unto Gideon, and to his house. 28 Thus was Midian subdued before the children of Israel, so that they lifted up their heads no more. And the country was in quietness forty years in the days of Gideon. 29 And Jerubbaal the son of Joash went and dwelt in his own house. 30 And Gideon had threescore and ten sons of his body begotten: for he had many wives. 31 And his concubine that was in Shechem, she also bare him a son, whose name he called Abimelech. 32 And Gideon the son of Joash died in a good old age, and was buried in the sepulchre of Joash his father, in Ophrah of the Abiezrites. 33 And it came to pass, as soon as Gideon was dead, that the children of Israel turned again, and went a whoring after Baalim, and made Baalberith their god. 34 And the children of Israel remembered not the Lord their God, who had delivered them out of the hands of all their enemies on every side: 35 Neither shewed they kindness to the house of Jerubbaal, namely, Gideon, according to all the goodness which he had shewed unto Israel. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Atos 12 1 Por aquele tempo, mandou o rei Herodes prender alguns da igreja para os maltratar, 2 fazendo passar a fio de espada a Tiago, irmão de João. 3 Vendo ser isto agradável aos judeus, prosseguiu, prendendo também a Pedro. E eram os dias dos pães asmos. 4 Tendo-o feito prender, lançou-o no cárcere, entregando-o a quatro escoltas de quatro soldados cada uma, para o guardarem, tencionando apresentá-lo ao povo depois da Páscoa. 5 Pedro, pois, estava guardado no cárcere; mas havia oração incessante a Deus por parte da igreja a favor dele. 6 Quando Herodes estava para apresentá-lo, naquela mesma noite, Pedro dormia entre dois soldados, acorrentado com duas cadeias, e sentinelas à porta guardavam o cárcere. 7 Eis, porém, que sobreveio um anjo do Senhor, e uma luz iluminou a prisão; e, tocando ele o lado de Pedro, o despertou, dizendo: Levanta-te depressa! Então, as cadeias caíram-lhe das mãos. 8 Disse-lhe o anjo: Cinge-te e calça as sandálias. E ele assim o fez. Disse-lhe mais: Põe a capa e segue-me. 9 Então, saindo, o seguia, não sabendo que era real o que se fazia por meio do anjo; parecia-lhe, antes, uma visão. 10 Depois de terem passado a primeira e a segunda sentinela, chegaram ao portão de ferro que dava para a cidade, o qual se lhes abriu automaticamente; e, saindo, enveredaram por uma rua, e logo adiante o anjo se apartou dele. 11 Então, Pedro, caindo em si, disse: Agora, sei, verdadeiramente, que o Senhor enviou o seu anjo e me livrou da mão de Herodes e de toda a expectativa do povo judaico. 12 Considerando ele a sua situação, resolveu ir à casa de Maria, mãe de João, cognominado Marcos, onde muitas pessoas estavam congregadas e oravam. 13 Quando ele bateu ao postigo do portão, veio uma criada, chamada Rode, ver quem era; 14 reconhecendo a voz de Pedro, tão alegre ficou, que nem o fez entrar, mas voltou correndo para anunciar que Pedro estava junto do portão. 15 Eles lhe disseram: Estás louca. Ela, porém, persistia em afirmar que assim era. Então, disseram: É o seu anjo. 16 Entretanto, Pedro continuava batendo; então, eles abriram, viram-no e ficaram atônitos. 17 Ele, porém, fazendo-lhes sinal com a mão para que se calassem, contou-lhes como o Senhor o tirara da prisão e acrescentou: Anunciai isto a Tiago e aos irmãos. E, saindo, retirou-se para outro lugar. 18 Sendo já dia, houve não pouco alvoroço entre os soldados sobre o que teria acontecido a Pedro. 19 Herodes, tendo-o procurado e não o achando, submetendo as sentinelas a inquérito, ordenou que fossem justiçadas. E, descendo da Judéia para Cesaréia, Herodes passou ali algum tempo. 20 Ora, havia séria divergência entre Herodes e os habitantes de Tiro e de Sidom; porém estes, de comum acordo, se apresentaram a ele e, depois de alcançar o favor de Blasto, camarista do rei, pediram reconciliação, porque a sua terra se abastecia do país do rei. 21 Em dia designado, Herodes, vestido de trajo real, assentado no trono, dirigiu-lhes a palavra; 22 e o povo clamava: É voz de um deus, e não de homem! 23 No mesmo instante, um anjo do Senhor o feriu, por ele não haver dado glória a Deus; e, comido de vermes, expirou. 24 Entretanto, a palavra do Senhor crescia e se multiplicava. 25 Barnabé e Saulo, cumprida a sua missão, voltaram de Jerusalém, levando também consigo a João, apelidado Marcos. https://www.biblegateway.com/ audio/dramatized/kjv/Acts.12 ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  12 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. 2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) 4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. 5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. 6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison. 7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. 8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me. 9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision. 10 When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him. 11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews. 12 And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying. 13 And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda. 14 And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. 15 And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel. 16 But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished. 17 But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place. 18 Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter. 19 And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea, and there abode. 20 And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king's country. 21 And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. 22 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. 23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost. 24 But the word of God grew and multiplied. 25 And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Jeremias 21 1 Palavra que veio a Jeremias da parte do SENHOR, quando o rei Zedequias lhe enviou Pasur, filho de Malquias, e o sacerdote Sofonias, filho de Maaséias, dizendo: 2 Pergunta agora por nós ao SENHOR, por que Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, guerreia contra nós; bem pode ser que o SENHOR nos trate segundo todas as suas maravilhas e o faça retirar-se de nós. 3 Então, Jeremias lhes disse: Assim direis a Zedequias: 4 Assim diz o SENHOR, o Deus de Israel: Eis que farei retroceder as armas de guerra que estão nas vossas mãos, com que vós pelejais fora dos muros contra o rei da Babilônia e contra os caldeus, que vos oprimem; tais armas, eu as ajuntarei no meio desta cidade. 5 Pelejarei eu mesmo contra vós outros com braço estendido e mão poderosa, com ira, com indignação e grande furor. 6 Ferirei os habitantes desta cidade, tanto os homens como os animais; de grande pestilência morrerão. 7 Depois disto, diz o SENHOR, entregarei Zedequias, rei de Judá, e seus servos, e o povo, e quantos desta cidade restarem da pestilência, da espada e da fome na mão de Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, na de seus inimigos e na dos que procuram tirar-lhes a vida; feri-los-á a fio de espada; não os poupará, não se compadecerá, nem terá misericórdia. 8 A este povo dirás: Assim diz o SENHOR: Eis que ponho diante de vós o caminho da vida e o caminho da morte. 9 O que ficar nesta cidade há de morrer à espada, ou à fome, ou de peste; mas o que sair e render-se aos caldeus, que vos cercam, viverá, e a vida lhe será como despojo. 10 Pois voltei o rosto contra esta cidade, para mal e não para bem, diz o SENHOR; ela será entregue nas mãos do rei da Babilônia, e este a queimará. 11 À casa do rei de Judá dirás: Ouvi a palavra do SENHOR! 12 Ó casa de Davi, assim diz o SENHOR: Julgai pela manhã justamente e livrai o oprimido das mãos do opressor; para que não seja o meu furor como fogo e se acenda, sem que haja quem o apague, por causa da maldade das vossas ações. 13 Eis que eu sou contra ti, ó Moradora do vale, ó Rocha da campina, diz o SENHOR; contra vós outros que dizeis: Quem descerá contra nós? Ou: Quem entrará nas nossas moradas? 14 Castigar-vos-ei segundo o fruto das vossas ações, diz o SENHOR; acenderei fogo na cidade, qual bosque, o qual devorará todos os seus arredores. https://www.biblegateway.com/ audio/dramatized/kjv/Jer.21 ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  21 The word which came unto Jeremiah from the Lord, when king Zedekiah sent unto him Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying, 2 Enquire, I pray thee, of the Lord for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the Lord will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us. 3 Then said Jeremiah unto them, Thus shall ye say to Zedekiah: 4 Thus saith the Lord God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city. 5 And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath. 6 And I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence. 7 And afterward, saith the Lord, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy. 8 And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death. 9 He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey. 10 For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the Lord: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire. 11 And touching the house of the king of Judah, say, Hear ye the word of the Lord; 12 O house of David, thus saith the Lord; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. 13 Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith the Lord; which say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations? 14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the Lord: and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Observações por Blog Heavenly Heavenly Se estamos, se estivermos com o Senhor Deus, através do Senhor Jesus por nós, então tudo já vencemos, iremos vencer.
