Sísera era o comandante do seu exército, o qual, então, habitava em Harosete-Hagoim. 3 Clamaram os filhos de Israel ao SENHOR, porquanto Jabim tinha novecentos carros de ferro e, por vinte anos, oprimia duramente os filhos de Israel. 4 Débora, profetisa, mulher de Lapidote, julgava a Israel naquele tempo. 5 Ela atendia debaixo da palmeira de Débora, entre Ramá e Betel, na região montanhosa de Efraim; e os filhos de Israel subiam a ela a juízo. 6 Mandou ela chamar a Baraque, filho de Abinoão, de Quedes de Naftali, e disse-lhe: Porventura, o SENHOR, Deus de Israel, não deu ordem, dizendo: Vai, e leva gente ao monte Tabor, e toma contigo dez mil homens dos filhos de Naftali e dos filhos de Zebulom? 7 E farei ir a ti para o ribeiro Quisom a Sísera, comandante do exército de Jabim, com os seus carros e as suas tropas; e o darei nas tuas mãos. 8 Então, lhe disse Baraque: Se fores comigo, irei; porém, se não fores comigo, não irei. 9 Ela respondeu: Certamente, irei contigo, porém não será tua a honra da investida que empreendes; pois às mãos de uma mulher o SENHOR entregará a Sísera. E saiu Débora e se foi com Baraque para Quedes. 10 Então, Baraque convocou a Zebulom e a Naftali em Quedes, e com ele subiram dez mil homens; e Débora também subiu com ele. 11 Ora, Héber, queneu, se tinha apartado dos queneus, dos filhos de Hobabe, sogro de Moisés, e havia armado as suas tendas até ao carvalho de Zaananim, que está junto a Quedes. 12 Anunciaram a Sísera que Baraque, filho de Abinoão, tinha subido ao monte Tabor. 13 Sísera convocou todos os seus carros, novecentos carros de ferro, e todo o povo que estava com ele, de Harosete-Hagoim para o ribeiro Quisom. 14 Então, disse Débora a Baraque: Dispõe-te, porque este é o dia em que o SENHOR entregou a Sísera nas tuas mãos; porventura, o SENHOR não saiu adiante de ti? Baraque, pois, desceu do monte Tabor, e dez mil homens, após ele. 15 E o SENHOR derrotou a Sísera, e todos os seus carros, e a todo o seu exército a fio de espada, diante de Baraque; e Sísera saltou do carro e fugiu a pé. 16 Mas Baraque perseguiu os carros e os exércitos até Harosete-Hagoim; e todo o exército de Sísera caiu a fio de espada, sem escapar nem sequer um. 17 Porém Sísera fugiu a pé para a tenda de Jael, mulher de Héber, queneu; porquanto havia paz entre Jabim, rei de Hazor, e a casa de Héber, queneu. 18 Saindo Jael ao encontro de Sísera, disse-lhe: Entra, senhor meu, entra na minha tenda, não temas. Retirou-se para a sua tenda, e ela pôs sobre ele uma coberta. 19 Então, ele lhe disse: Dá-me, peço-te, de beber um pouco de água, porque tenho sede. Ela abriu um odre de leite, e deu-lhe de beber, e o cobriu. 20 E ele lhe disse mais: Põe-te à porta da tenda; e há de ser que, se vier alguém e te perguntar: Há aqui alguém?, responde: Não. 21 Então, Jael, mulher de Héber, tomou uma estaca da tenda, e lançou mão de um martelo, e foi-se mansamente a ele, e lhe cravou a estaca na fonte, de sorte que penetrou na terra, estando ele em profundo sono e mui exausto; e, assim, morreu. 22 E eis que, perseguindo Baraque a Sísera, Jael lhe saiu ao encontro e lhe disse: Vem, e mostrar-te-ei o homem que procuras. Ele a seguiu; e eis que Sísera jazia morto, e a estaca na fonte. 23 Assim, Deus, naquele dia, humilhou a Jabim, rei de Canaã, diante dos filhos de Israel. 24 E cada vez mais a mão dos filhos de Israel prevalecia contra Jabim, rei de Canaã, até que o exterminaram. https://www.biblegateway.com/ audio/dramatized/kjv/Judg.4 ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  4 And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the Lord, when Ehud was dead. 2 And the Lord sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose host was Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles. 3 And the children of Israel cried unto the Lord: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel. 4 And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time. 5 And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment. 6 And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the Lord God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun? 7 And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand. 8 And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go. 9 And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the Lord shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh. 10 And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him. 11 Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh. 12 And they shewed Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to mount Tabor. 13 And Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles unto the river of Kishon. 14 And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the Lord hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the Lord gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him. 15 And the Lord discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet. 16 But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera fell upon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left. 17 Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite. 18 And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And when he had turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him with a mantle. 19 And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him. 20 Again he said unto her, Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man doth come and enquire of thee, and say, Is there any man here? that thou shalt say, No. 21 Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died. 22 And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest. And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the nail was in his temples. 23 So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel. 24 And the hand of the children of Israel prospered, and prevailed against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Atos 8 1 E Saulo consentia na sua morte. Naquele dia, levantou-se grande perseguição contra a igreja em Jerusalém; e todos, exceto os apóstolos, foram dispersos pelas regiões da Judéia e Samaria. 2 Alguns homens piedosos sepultaram Estêvão e fizeram grande pranto sobre ele. 3 Saulo, porém, assolava a igreja, entrando pelas casas; e, arrastando homens e mulheres, encerrava-os no cárcere. 4 Entrementes, os que foram dispersos iam por toda parte pregando a palavra. 5 Filipe, descendo à cidade de Samaria, anunciava-lhes a Cristo. 6 As multidões atendiam, unânimes, às coisas que Filipe dizia, ouvindo-as e vendo os sinais que ele operava. 7 Pois os espíritos imundos de muitos possessos saíam gritando em alta voz; e muitos paralíticos e coxos foram curados. 8 E houve grande alegria naquela cidade. 9 Ora, havia certo homem, chamado Simão, que ali praticava a mágica, iludindo o povo de Samaria, insinuando ser ele grande vulto; 10 ao qual todos davam ouvidos, do menor ao maior, dizendo: Este homem é o poder de Deus, chamado o Grande Poder. 11 Aderiam a ele porque havia muito os iludira com mágicas. 12 Quando, porém, deram crédito a Filipe, que os evangelizava a respeito do reino de Deus e do nome de Jesus Cristo, iam sendo batizados, assim homens como mulheres. 13 O próprio Simão abraçou a fé; e, tendo sido batizado, acompanhava a Filipe de perto, observando extasiado os sinais e grandes milagres praticados. 14 Ouvindo os apóstolos, que estavam em Jerusalém, que Samaria recebera a palavra de Deus, enviaram-lhe Pedro e João; 15 os quais, descendo para lá, oraram por eles para que recebessem o Espírito Santo; 16 porquanto não havia ainda descido sobre nenhum deles, mas somente haviam sido batizados em o nome do Senhor Jesus. 17 Então, lhes impunham as mãos, e recebiam estes o Espírito Santo. 18 Vendo, porém, Simão que, pelo fato de imporem os apóstolos as mãos, era concedido o Espírito [Santo], ofereceu-lhes dinheiro, 19 propondo: Concedei-me também a mim este poder, para que aquele sobre quem eu impuser as mãos receba o Espírito Santo. 20 Pedro, porém, lhe respondeu: O teu dinheiro seja contigo para perdição, pois julgaste adquirir, por meio dele, o dom de Deus. 21 Não tens parte nem sorte neste ministério, porque o teu coração não é reto diante de Deus. 22 Arrepende-te, pois, da tua maldade e roga ao Senhor; talvez te seja perdoado o intento do coração; 23 pois vejo que estás em fel de amargura e laço de iniqüidade. 24 Respondendo, porém, Simão lhes pediu: Rogai vós por mim ao Senhor, para que nada do que dissestes sobrevenha a mim. 25 Eles, porém, havendo testificado e falado a palavra do Senhor, voltaram para Jerusalém e evangelizavam muitas aldeias dos samaritanos. 26 Um anjo do Senhor falou a Filipe, dizendo: Dispõe-te e vai para o lado do Sul, no caminho que desce de Jerusalém a Gaza; este se acha deserto. Ele se levantou e foi. 27 Eis que um etíope, eunuco, alto oficial de Candace, rainha dos etíopes, o qual era superintendente de todo o seu tesouro, que viera adorar em Jerusalém, 28 estava de volta e, assentado no seu carro, vinha lendo o profeta Isaías. 29 Então, disse o Espírito a Filipe: Aproxima-te desse carro e acompanha-o. 30 Correndo Filipe, ouviu-o ler o profeta Isaías e perguntou: Compreendes o que vens lendo? 31 Ele respondeu: Como poderei entender, se alguém não me explicar? E convidou Filipe a subir e a sentar-se junto a ele. 32 Ora, a passagem da Escritura que estava lendo era esta: Foi levado como ovelha ao matadouro; e, como um cordeiro mudo perante o seu tosquiador, assim ele não abriu a boca. 33 Na sua humilhação, lhe negaram justiça; quem lhe poderá descrever a geração? Porque da terra a sua vida é tirada. 34 Então, o eunuco disse a Filipe: Peço-te que me expliques a quem se refere o profeta. Fala de si mesmo ou de algum outro? 35 Então, Filipe explicou; e, começando por esta passagem da Escritura, anunciou-lhe a Jesus. 36 Seguindo eles caminho fora, chegando a certo lugar onde havia água, disse o eunuco: Eis aqui água; que impede que seja eu batizado? 37 [Filipe respondeu: É lícito, se crês de todo o coração. E, respondendo ele, disse: Creio que Jesus Cristo é o Filho de Deus.] 38 Então, mandou parar o carro, ambos desceram à água, e Filipe batizou o eunuco. 39 Quando saíram da água, o Espírito do Senhor arrebatou a Filipe, não o vendo mais o eunuco; e este foi seguindo o seu caminho, cheio de júbilo. 40 Mas Filipe veio a achar-se em Azoto; e, passando além, evangelizava todas as cidades até chegar a Cesaréia. https://www.biblegateway.com/ audio/dramatized/kjv/Acts.8 ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  8 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. 2 And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. 3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. 4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. 5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. 6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. 8 And there was great joy in that city. 9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: 10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. 11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. 12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. 14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: 16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) 17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. 18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, 19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. 20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. 21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. 22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. 23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity. 24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me. 25 And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans. 26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. 27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, 28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. 29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. 30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? 31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. 32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: 33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. 34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. 36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. 39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Jeremias 17 1 O pecado de Judá está escrito com um ponteiro de ferro e com diamante pontiagudo, gravado na tábua do seu coração e nas pontas dos seus altares. 2 Seus filhos se lembram dos seus altares e dos seus postes-ídolos junto às árvores frondosas, sobre os altos outeiros. 3 Ó monte do campo, os teus bens e todos os teus tesouros darei por presa, como também os teus altos por causa do pecado, em todos os teus territórios! 4 Assim, por ti mesmo te privarás da tua herança que te dei, e far-te-ei servir os teus inimigos, na terra que não conheces; porque o fogo que acendeste na minha ira arderá para sempre. 5 Assim diz o SENHOR: Maldito o homem que confia no homem, faz da carne mortal o seu braço e aparta o seu coração do SENHOR! 6 Porque será como o arbusto solitário no deserto e não verá quando vier o bem; antes, morará nos lugares secos do deserto, na terra salgada e inabitável. 7 Bendito o homem que confia no SENHOR e cuja esperança é o SENHOR. 8 Porque ele é como a árvore plantada junto às águas, que estende as suas raízes para o ribeiro e não receia quando vem o calor, mas a sua folha fica verde; e, no ano de sequidão, não se perturba, nem deixa de dar fruto. 9 Enganoso é o coração, mais do que todas as coisas, e desesperadamente corrupto; quem o conhecerá? 10 Eu, o SENHOR, esquadrinho o coração, eu provo os pensamentos; e isto para dar a cada um segundo o seu proceder, segundo o fruto das suas ações. 11 Como a perdiz que choca ovos que não pôs, assim é aquele que ajunta riquezas, mas não retamente; no meio de seus dias, as deixará e no seu fim será insensato. 12 Trono de glória enaltecido desde o princípio é o lugar do nosso santuário. 13 Ó SENHOR, Esperança de Israel! Todos aqueles que te deixam serão envergonhados; o nome dos que se apartam de mim será escrito no chão; porque abandonam o SENHOR, a fonte das águas vivas. 14 Cura-me, SENHOR, e serei curado, salva-me, e serei salvo; porque tu és o meu louvor. 15 Eis que eles me dizem: Onde está a palavra do SENHOR? Que se cumpra! 16 Mas eu não me recusei a ser pastor, seguindo-te; nem tampouco desejei o dia da aflição, tu o sabes; o que saiu dos meus lábios está no teu conhecimento. 17 Não me sejas motivo de terror; meu refúgio és tu no dia do mal. 18 Sejam envergonhados os que me perseguem, e não seja eu envergonhado; assombrem-se eles, e não me assombre eu; traze sobre eles o dia do mal e destrói-os com dobrada destruição. 19 Assim me disse o SENHOR: Vai, põe-te à porta dos filhos do povo, pela qual entram e saem os reis de Judá, como também a todas as portas de Jerusalém, 20 e dize-lhes: Ouvi a palavra do SENHOR, vós, reis de Judá, e todo o Judá, e todos os moradores de Jerusalém que entrais por estas portas. 21 Assim diz o SENHOR: Guardai-vos por amor da vossa alma, não carregueis cargas no dia de sábado, nem as introduzais pelas portas de Jerusalém; 22 não tireis cargas de vossa casa no dia de sábado, nem façais obra alguma; antes, santificai o dia de sábado, como ordenei a vossos pais. 23 Mas não atenderam, não inclinaram os ouvidos; antes, endureceram a cerviz, para não me ouvirem, para não receberem disciplina. 24 Se, deveras, me ouvirdes, diz o SENHOR, não introduzindo cargas pelas portas desta cidade no dia de sábado, e santificardes o dia de sábado, não fazendo nele obra alguma, 25 então, pelas portas desta cidade entrarão reis e príncipes, que se assentarão no trono de Davi, andando em carros e montados em cavalos, eles e seus príncipes, os homens de Judá e os moradores de Jerusalém; e esta cidade será para sempre habitada. 26 Virão das cidades de Judá e dos contornos de Jerusalém, da terra de Benjamim, das planícies, das montanhas e do Sul, trazendo holocaustos, sacrifícios, ofertas de manjares e incenso, oferecendo igualmente sacrifícios de ações de graças na Casa do SENHOR. 27 Mas, se não me ouvirdes, e, por isso, não santificardes o dia de sábado, e carregardes alguma carga, quando entrardes pelas portas de Jerusalém no dia de sábado, então, acenderei fogo nas suas portas, o qual consumirá os palácios de Jerusalém e não se apagará. https://www.biblegateway.com/ audio/dramatized/kjv/Jer.17 ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  17 The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars; 2 Whilst their children remember their altars and their groves by the green trees upon the high hills. 3 O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high places for sin, throughout all thy borders. 4 And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever. 5 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. 6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. 7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. 8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. 9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. 11 As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool. 12 A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary. 13 O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters. 14 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. 15 Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of the Lord?
